We got to celebrate this sweet guy for the past week. We had a fun party with some friends Friday evening, then on his actual birthday he got a beautifully decorated cookie cake (Bev helped me make the cake then got free reign on the decorating). Beverly made sure she had all 37 candles on the cake. It put off some heat! He got a Darth Vader helmet from his mom, some fun money from my parents, a Star Wars shirt, music box, bobble head, and lightsaber chopsticks from the kids, and a kindle from me. I think his birthday was a success. Oh! And he got a giant pink teddy bear plus his favorite soda from some dear friends of ours. AND he slept with that teddy the first night… luckily Beverly found the teddy bear and gave her a new home ;). We had a blast singing to and celebrating this sweet guy.
I’ve had a busy few weeks celebrating my birthday boys, getting ready for Maverick’s upcoming baptism and our upcoming Hawaii trip. Plus we seem to be getting this cycling cold that comes quick and leaves quick but comes back around before we’ve had a chance to celebrate its absence. When I do find free time, I try to work on my novel. I’m not ready for its reveal, but it’s coming along! Here are some highlights from our week:
