Harvey learned the law of Isaac Newton, that for every action, there is an opposite and equal reaction. He was playing with a nerf bow and pulled the string the wrong direction. Don’t worry, the mark didn’t stay there too long. I too learned some valuable lessons this week from my own injury. I am too old (and big) to be riding a kid’s razor scooter down a steep hill. Those scooters’ breaks are not made for adults, instead my body became my break. I looked like a baseball player sliding into home, but instead of dirt, it was asphalt. I left a broken bracelet, and a chunk of skin as I hobbled home. I was in so much shock that I spaced looking for the bracelet, I didn’t even cry. I just lay there stunned. Unfortunately, my iPhone’s camera cracked, but luckily I had 20 days left on my insurance plan for it. The whole reason I went on a scooter in the first place was to show Maverick that going down hill on a scooter was no big deal. Unfortunately, I don’t think my plan played out… I don’t think Mav will try going down hill like that and I can’t say I blame him.
Other than the injuries, our week was full of sports. Andy was on nights, so I spent my evenings working on paintings! It was so rejuvenating. I’m excited to get back into it.
