Where did the week go?

It’s been a pretty busy week from house projects, doctor appointments, daddy-daughter date, and a temple trip, but mostly good things!

Beverly and Andy had an absolute blast at the daddy daughter dance. Beverly and Afton decided last minute that they wanted it to be a double date, so Andy got to hang out with one of his good buddies, Jay. They went to Taco Bell and got ice cream sundaes afterwards. I love their dancing pictures and it looks like they danced their hearts away, but I think Beverly’s favorite part was the ice cream sundae with her daddy.

The other huge thing this week was Max’s first temple trip. It was very special to be able to go (thanks to Lindsay who watched our other three). Max was full of smiles and snuggles and told me how good he felt. It was a very special experience to take part in.

This has been a bigger project than Andy expected it to be, but I’ll be honest, I knew it was a big undertaking, mostly because I didn’t have any clue how to build any of it, but Andy spent about two days researching, two days working on the hole and the frame for the shelving and drawers, and another two days building the drawers and shelves. I have helped ;), but a really insignificant amount compared to what Andy’s done. I’m currently working on filling any cracks or nail holes, sanding down and staining/painting. We are both excited to see the finished product!

Harvey’s class has a trashcan that I affectionately call trash panda because it is a mini trashcan with a panda face on it. His teachers call it Mr. Munch. It eats pictures with the letter of the week on them. This week the letter was R. Harvey drew “Rainbow friends.” As you can see here, the paper is crumpled because Mr. Munch ate it, but the teachers pulled it out because it was just too cute to throw away. They were praising his artistic skills.

Harvey does have a lot of talent… we took him to Target on Friday and he wanted to spend his “own money” he had $3.18 in cash. Of course this sweater had to dip into his allowance money because it was more than $3 but we didn’t know why he wanted it so bad until later that day we saw he had drawn a face on it. He wanted to have a blue costume and this was the closest he could get.
