Three months down. Six to go. Oof this is feeling long. Here’s a recap of the week:
We had some fun and worked hard this weekend. I got some yard work done and made a dent in my shoe shelf I’m making. I’ll show you the shelf when it’s done. I spent a lot of time with the kids this week between going to baseball games, field trips, eating lunch with them, and taking them out to eat. I have also been going on three mile walks with my friends which is not only great for my physical health, but my mental health as well. It was a tough week in some ways, but good in others. I am not feeling up to writing much today, but here’s the week in pictures:
The kids were busy playing legos during general conference. I didn’t think they got much from it, but that night when I asked them what they learned they had all shared what talk that spoke to them. I guess blasting conference in every room really is effective.
I’m trying to eat lunch with my kids once a month. Max got to come with me this week, because he left school early on Monday.
Maverick got to eat lunch with me twice. On Monday, after his orthodontist appointment, and on Tuesday because he was so sore he needed me to bring him a smoothie for lunch.
I got to go to Harvey’s field trip on Wednesday. We had a blast at Steed’s Dairy.
His bestie, Janie was there.
Plus he got to hold a bunny. He was in heaven.
I was trying to get a picture of Maverick in the outfield, then his teammate jumped in the shot.
To celebrate the four day weekend and the kids getting good grades this term, we went to their favorite restaurant: Izumi’s.
The kids LOVE to get the mail. They often fight over it. Here is them all reaching into the box at the same time to grab the mail.
Max is my little helper. Always has been. He put on my shoes so he could get more stuff up the stairs.
